Laxfield House strongly adheres to the principle that all residents are individuals, and that all individuals have rights. We therefore recognise and support that our residents do have every right to be fairly treated at all times with the dignity and the respect that they would expect, regardless of their age, gender, ethnic origin, sexual preference, economic status or faith or non-religious beliefs. Laxfield House ensures that residents have a right to be protected from harm or insult and to have their needs met when they are unable to meet them themselves through illness or disability. We will always respect their right to be involved in their own care and to make their own decisions on the basis of the best information that we can provide. The Home also accepts that a resident has the right to either accept or refuse the delivery of such care or course of treatment that is being offered to them.
There is an identified activities coordinator who is responsible for planning and maintaining the varied daily activity programme for our residents.
Diet and nutrition are paramount, and our team of cooks work closely with residents and nursing staff to promote a well-balanced, nutritious menu.
Special diets, likes and dislikes are catered for.
All celebrations, birthdays and festivals are Chefs Delight!
