Our nursing care provides 24 hourly personal care and attention and is given according to the patients assessed needs. Our nursing care team is led by our matron manager Mrs. Judy Carne RGN, RMA and eight very experienced nursing sisters, supported by fully trained care assistants. Together they provide excellent high-quality professional care.
This nursing care team works closely with both patient and family in order to understand and identify personal likes and dislikes. This encourages easy conversation so as to ensure that vital time is always spent getting to know each individual in every effort to create the most suitable and comprehensive care plan that fully understands and meets the patient`s specific nursing care needs. This process ensures that the patient is actively involved in all decisions, where possible, relating to their care planning. Regular assessments are undertaken in order to ensure that each patient is receiving the correct level of care and attention at all times.
A Wide Range of Medical & Nursing Care Available
We understand that our nursing care residents often have a variety of medical needs, but please be assured that here at Laxfield House we able to meet all the identified assessed needs for our residents through the expertise of our experienced professional care team and support of your own G.P. in conjunction with the utilisation of all the necessary nursing care equipment as would be required.
In addition to these activities, we offer other services designed to enhance and complement a resident’s continued good health and well-being to include:
- Hairdresser (every Thursday)
- Church of England service offering Holy Communion (fortnightly). (All other denominations are welcomed.)
- Chiropodist (every 6 wks)
- In-house manicures
Beauty treatment and massage services along with Physiotherapy and Osteopathy sessions can be arranged for upon request. In addition, our nursing home also provides an extensive and well-balanced diet in the form an extensive menu.
