All our staff are trained to the highest level, with our nursing staff remaining current within their professional accountability with the NMC. The majority of our carers hold NVQ 1, 2 and 3 levels in Social Care. We have an in-house Training Co-Ordinator to facilitate this and to maintain the statutory on-going training.
Every resident has an individual care and support plan incorporating an activity plan that is developed in discussion with the resident, their family and care staff. We operate a named nurse key worker system within our service, so familiarity for residents is always maintained. There is an identified Activities Co-ordinator who is responsible for planning and maintaining the daily activity programme for residents.
We feel that diet and nutrition are paramount for the elderly, and our team of cooks work closely with residents and nursing staff to promote a well-balanced, nutritious diet that both appeals to the resident and meets his or her needs and individual pleasure.
At Laxfield House, we pay great attention to detail in all departments, and our staffing levels reflect this to provide a personal touch for all our residents.
